The gum I like is going to come back into style

This is largely off-topic, but I am super excited to see David Lynch making more episodes of Twin Peaks. He will direct all nine episodes which will be released in 2016. This might just fill the gap that the end of Mad Man will leave when it ends next year.

Here's the announcement trailer:

Twin Peaks is connected to my photography in a weird way, though. I always loved David Lynch as an artist and film-maker and I was always captivated by the mood and look he achieved in his work.

When I did my media production degree I wrote about Blue Velvet, one of my favourite David Lynch films. My university lecturer mistakenly forgot to attach a word limit to the assignment, but they were generally about 2000 words in length. I turned in a 6000+ word mini-dissertation complete with photographs and comparisons between Lynch's cinematography and Edward Hopper's paintings. He never forgot to put a word limit on his assignments after that!

If art is painting with colour, then photography is painting with light and David Lynch manages to paint with light at 24 frames per second.

I can't wait for the new series.

Harry, I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.
