In February I had the great privilege of photographing Lynne and James' wedding at Redworth Hall in County Durham.
The building is an 18th century Jacobean Manor House, but the site dates back to 1693. It is set within 150 acres of landscaped gardens and spectacular woodland.
The ceremony took place in the great hall, which is just as grand as it sounds, with a giant fireplace, a high ceiling held in place by huge oak beams, and polished wooden floors. Ancient flags and chandeliers complete the look.
There was a Victorian folly out in the woods that I would have loved to use as a backdrop for some images with Lynne and James, but the grass was very wet and it was very cold so we didn't make it out there.
Fortunately I was spoilt for choice for alternative locations in and around the hotel itself.
I look forward to working there again.
