My second of two jobs this week was a kids portrait session with Sophie. The brief was for all natural photographs, so no lights, props or posing. I was there for a couple of hours, following Sophie around the house and into the garden.
It was one of the hottest days so far here in the north east and in the early afternoon the light was terrible - harsh, direct sunlight. It was so bright that I couldn't shoot my 85L 1.2 wide open because it maxed out the shutter speed on my camera at 1/8000! I tried to guide Sophie into the shade and I managed to get some images with some depth and feel to them.
I was really happy with the final results and I hope grandma will be too!
