It's been another exciting week here at Barry Forshaw Photography because I received my new wedding album sample from Tony Sarlo. Tony Sarlo are an Italian family business and they have been producing hand-crafted wedding albums for thirty years.
I am also grateful to Digitalab in Ouseburn for helping me through the process of ordering this sample. I'm very fortunate to have such a high quality professional photo lab on my doorstep.
I chose to design my album with my own photography from Lynne and James' wedding, that I photographed at Redworth Hall earlier this year.
I had a choice of four different albums for my sample and it was a very tough decision, as they all looked great. After some deliberation I went with the Completto album, which has a mix of digital and matted pages.
In a digital album the photographs are printed right onto the page, while a matted album uses photographic prints slipped behind card matts with cut-outs to reveal the images.
The cover is very customisable. Standard materials are Ecopelle (leather), Buckram, and Pellac. Covers can be kept plain or you can use single or multiple images on the front. In addition you can also have text embossed on the cover if required. For this sample I chose Buckram with a single, large image on the front.
The Completto album lies completely flat when open, so that you can see every detail of every photograph, even if the image runs from one page over to the next. This gives me the maximum flexibility when designing your album, which I do personally and exclusively for every wedding. It makes for a truly unique record of your big day.
I recommend an album to all my wedding clients, although they are optional. These Tony Sarlo albums are built to stand the test of time, just like the images within them. This album screams quality and you can instantly tell that it is a hand-crafted item.
The wedding album comes in a snug fitting cloth bag to keep the dust out and stop it from becoming scuffed.
The Completto album also comes in a box to provide even more protection. This will keep your album in great condition for years to come.
As this is a sample wedding album it came with a range of additional covers so that it is easier for couples to visualise what they prefer. The cover below, for example, has three small photographys running down one edge.
The reverse of the cover shows the different colour combinations associated with that particular material. I have cover samples for many of the variations of style and covering with swatches for the rest, and the range of choice is simply staggering.
I'm very happy with my Tony Sarlo wedding album and I look forward to producing real wedding albums for my forthcoming weddings in 2015 and beyond.
